Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible
Dice World War (diceworldwar.com) is run by an independent developer based in Israel ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@diceworldwar.com.
2. What data is involved
| What | Who handles it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your current world, battle history and settings | Stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us. | So you can continue where you left off |
| Basic request data: IP address, browser type, time and page requested | Our host, Cloudflare | To deliver the site and protect it from abuse |
| Anonymous visit counts | Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't identify you | To understand how many people play |
| Anonymous game statistics: how many battles were played in a visit, how long the visit lasted, which game features were used (such as the Leaderboard tabs, sound and power mode), device type (phone, tablet or computer), browser language, the site or campaign you came from, your country (from the network, not your exact location), and which nation won a finished world | Sent once per visit to our own server on Cloudflare and stored only as anonymous rows. No cookies, no user ID, no IP address and nothing stored on your device for this | To learn what players enjoy and improve the game |
| Cookies, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and information about how you interact with ads | Google and its advertising partners, through Google AdSense | To show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, detect fraud, measure performance and, if you allow it, personalise ads |
We don't sell your personal information, and we never receive your name or contact details from the ads.
3. Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads, mainly short ads between battles. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google in Google's Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
- If you choose non-personalised ads, you'll still see ads, but they're based on general context such as the page and your approximate location, not on your profile.
The game itself sets no cookies. Saving your game uses local storage on your device, which is needed for the feature you're using.
4. Your choices and consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you'll see a consent message from Google's certified consent platform before any personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can accept, reject or customise. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy choices link at the bottom of the game, or with the button below.
If you are in a US state with privacy laws, such as California, you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising in Google's Ads Settings, linked above. Where those laws require it, we use Google's US state privacy controls, which limit how Google uses data from visitors in those states.
Ad blockers don't stop the game from working.
5. Legal bases (EU/UK)
Ad personalisation and non-essential advertising cookies rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Delivering the site, keeping it secure and preventing ad fraud rely on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
6. International transfers
Cloudflare and Google run global networks, so data may be processed outside your country, under their safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
7. How long it's kept
Your saved game stays on your device until you clear your browser data or press "New world". We don't keep personal data on our own systems. Google and Cloudflare keep their data according to their own retention policies.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of targeted advertising. These rights come from Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, the EU and UK GDPR, and US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA. Because we hold no personal data about players ourselves, most requests are best handled directly with Google, using the links above. You can still write to us at hello@diceworldwar.com and we'll help. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Israel, that's the Privacy Protection Authority.
9. Children
The game has no chat, no user content and no purchases, and it isn't directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child's data has been processed through the ads, contact us and we'll work with Google to address it.
10. Mobile app
The Android app version displays this website, so this policy applies to it as well.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the game.
